Key Benefits:
- Moisturising: Conditions scalp and hair improving moisture content and detangling.
- Gentle Cleansing: The Natural, sulphate free and foam-free formula gently cleanses hair and scalp without stripping, ensuring an effective and conditioning wash.
- Scalp (health) Support: Washes away dirt and build up for a healthy-feeling, clean, moisturised scalp to support optimal scalp and hair condition.
- Natural Ingredients: A pampering blend of coconut, castor and sweet almond oils and shea butter.
Ingredient Science:
Co-wash the portmanteau (hybrid word) for conditioner-washing, the technique of washing your hair with a cleansing conditioner rather than a shampoo. It’s proof positive that bubbles don’t equal cleaning: co-washes don’t foam. They do cleanse effectively.
So how does this work? A co-wash contains more conditioning ingredients and less surfactant than a conventional shampoo. In the case of a natural co-wash like Noughty’s, this means more potent plant oils and moisturising natural source glycerine combined with gentle cleansing from coco-glucoside (made from coconuts and glucose).
1 Hit Wonder takes advantage of the basic science that oil and water don’t mix, but oil and oil do. The plant oils in the co-wash blend with the natural oils produced by your scalp, collecting up the grime and residues your hair picks up in the course of daily life. The careful balance of actives in 1 Hit Wonder ensures that any excess oils and impurities are washed away, leaving nourished, clean hair in its wake.

Step 1
To get the most out of co-washing, it’s important to introduce it gradually, substituting it for one of your shampoos, and tweak how often you integrate it into your routine.
Curly Girls – use co-wash as often as you need.
Dry hair – introduce once a week. If it works for you, build up to every wash.
Sensitive scalps – introduce every two weeks to begin with.
Colour treated hair – use regularly post colour treatment to prevent fade, and then adjust based on hair type.
Oily scalp or hair – Co-wash may not be the product for you.
Fine hair – use intermittently alongside a volumising shampoo.Step 2
Wet hair thoroughly and pump a generous amount into your palm, rubbing palms together to distribute product evenly.
Section hair as necessary, and apply from scalp to tip, front to back until hair and scalp are coated.
Massage product into the scalp working from front to back.Step 3
For maximum results, leave on for 3 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly, massaging scalp to ensure all product is removed.

When you’re making the transition to natural haircare products from conventional haircare, essentially, you're asking your hair to go through a detox process. If you’ve ever tried a detox yourself, whether it was to fit back into your favourite dress or simply to feel better after a period of binging (we’ve all been there!), you’ll know they aren’t always the most pleasant of processes. It’s certainly nothing to fear though, with knowledge of what to expect and a few handy tips, you’ll be on your way to natural hair heaven in no time.
